It’s amazing how social media has allowed people to connect in ways they never would have otherwise.  In this instance, a lovely Momma-to-Be had seen my work on someone else’s Facebook page and it caught her attention.  When she contacted me, her words were music to my ears.  Comments like, “your work caught my eye and stuck with me and I knew I needed you to capture my pregnancy” and in terms of styling “I trust your judgement, you’re the Artist”.    Turns out, she and I grew up around the corner from each other.  She was friends with my older sister and says she remembers me as a kid, frolicking around the neighborhood.  And so we meet again as grown women; mothers.

She carried her pregnancy so beautifully.  I kept telling her she looks like Michelle Pfeiffer.  Doesn’t she?!?!

Her baby girl made her grand entrance a few weeks ahead of schedule weighing just 4lbs 13oz but she’s a strong little one and spent no time in the NICU.  She came home as scheduled with no complications!

I met Baby Kate when she was just 3 weeks old and weighing about 6 lbs.  What a little love bug. 

Mom’s favorite color is blue so I tried to incorporate it with the utmost girliness.  The peach and blue tones really complimented her fair skin.

My sincere gratitude to Kate’s Mom for choosing me to document this journey as her maternity and newborn photographer.   It was truly an honor and a pleasure.
