Newborn Mini Sessions are back at Julia V Photography! This was a decision that I debated on for a while but I realize that some parents may not want the full newborn experience. Perhaps due to time constraints, cost, or because they just know that a few fantastic images of their new baby is sufficient.
This scaled down version of the Full Newborn sessions will last approximately 90 minutes and include images of baby in one prop (bucket, bowl, basket, etc) and on one blanket. No matter if baby is awake or asleep, we will roll with the punches and get some great shots.
You will get to view a gallery of images and select your 8 favorites which will be delivered to you digitally, fully edited, and in high resolution for printing up to any size. The total cost for this Newborn Mini Session is $400.
If you are interested in booking a Newborn Mini Session, please be sure to contact me during your pregnancy so we can set a tentative date. You may do this by submitting this form.
As always, thanks for stopping by!!!
It’s amazing how social media has allowed people to connect in ways they never would have otherwise. In this instance, a lovely Momma-to-Be had seen my work on someone else’s Facebook page and it caught her attention. When she contacted me, her words were music to my ears. Comments like, “your work caught my eye and stuck with me and I knew I needed you to capture my pregnancy” and in terms of styling “I trust your judgement, you’re the Artist”. Turns out, she and I grew up around the corner from each other. She was friends with my older sister and says she remembers me as a kid, frolicking around the neighborhood. And so we meet again as grown women; mothers.
She carried her pregnancy so beautifully. I kept telling her she looks like Michelle Pfeiffer. Doesn’t she?!?!
Her baby girl made her grand entrance a few weeks ahead of schedule weighing just 4lbs 13oz but she’s a strong little one and spent no time in the NICU. She came home as scheduled with no complications!
I met Baby Kate when she was just 3 weeks old and weighing about 6 lbs. What a little love bug.
Mom’s favorite color is blue so I tried to incorporate it with the utmost girliness. The peach and blue tones really complimented her fair skin.
My sincere gratitude to Kate’s Mom for choosing me to document this journey as her maternity and newborn photographer. It was truly an honor and a pleasure.

In an effort to ramp up my online presence as a baby photographer, I posted a giveaway back in January for a Mini Newborn Session. This sweet family was our winner!
Being that this was their second baby, they wanted to include their adorable, almost 2 year old son who wasn’t too sure what he thought about his new baby brother. I’m so glad this family upgraded their session to include these images. What amazing memories to look back on.
At just over 8lbs, Liam looked adorable in all my little outfits and wraps! I love the soft palette of colors Mom and Dad chose for the session. Luckily, the studio is stocked with outfits in various colors that are sized perfectly for newborns ?
Thank you so much to this lovely family of 4 for coming to the studio. It was a pleasure meeting you and I hope to capture many more family memories.

This little bundle of love came to see me and boy was he a delight. Just slept and slept! He was born at Chester County Hospital and was in the studio at just 14 days new. He loved being all curled up and having his hands by his adorable face.
A special thanks to Kingston’s family for choosing me to capture his newness. If you are looking for a Collegeville PA Newborn Photographer, please reach out! I’d love to photograph your newest addition. Be sure to inquire during your pregnancy so you can secure a date on the calendar.

Meet my best friend…. we met at 10 years old and have been besties ever since! When there was snow in the forecast, I would pack a bag and sleep over her house in the hopes that we would get snowed in together. She would leave magazines on my side of the bed because I was always awake several hours before her eyes would open. I shopped in her closet ; blew dry her hair; talked about boys – for hours; laughed hysterically; cried hysterically. I was there the night she met this cute guy in a leather baseball jacket. We were sophomores in high school. Really, it’s all history from there! I was one of the first people to receive the text message showing the dozens and dozens of roses he placed in her NY studio apartment the night he proposed. We partied together on her bachelorette weekend and I walked down the aisle as a bridesmaid in her wedding. I remember meeting her and her hubby at the mall one afternoon with my newborn in the baby bjorn. They told me they were expecting their first baby. I cried. I was so excited for her to experience, once again, the same thing I had just gone through- pregnancy, labor, and holding your baby in your arms.
Our photo session was so fun. More comfortable than most sessions, of course. These boys, although I don’t get to see them enough, are like family to me. As I culled their images, it was very emotional. All these years, all this time, all these life experiences…. and here we are. Being able to capture this time in their lives is so special to me. For this is the very reason I decided to do what I do.
